 olks who spend a lot of time around helicopters know the value of maintenance — and not just because of the FAA's high standards of airworthiness, but because they understand that a helicopter's grace and utility is a direct result of its technical complexity. Our factory-trained mechanics at Sunset Helicopters are available to service McDonnell-Douglas, Schweizer, and Bell equipment with regular inspections (at 25, 50, and 100 hours, as well as annuals), and we can handle everything from a basic oil-and-lube to complete ground-up restorations. We even have three A&P technicians (two with Inspector Authorization), which means we can travel to your location or perform field maintenance.
We also handle component overhauls, with a factory-trained component-overhaul mechanic on our team, and we specialize in main rotor and tail rotor transmissions (with low-load run-in capabilities) and landing gear dampners. We'll gladly overhaul your components, or you can participate in our component-exchange program to reduce your down-time.
